President scares the country

In a speech tonight the POTUS once again scared the country with dire predictions of doom and gloom if Americans don't support the Democratic plan for raising the debt ceiling. He held hostage social security checks for seniors and again blamed George W. Bush and House Republicans. He called for raising taxes on Americans who make more than $250,000 and he calls them millionaires and billionaires? Because he can't get his way with Republicans he is asking the American people to pressure Congress? Instead of inspiring our elected leaders to work together I believe with this speech the POTUS has demagogued and poisoned the well for any goodwill and encouraged more gridlock. I predict today that no agreement will be reached by August 2. What an inspirational leader!
